The day was hard to pick by the organization as Beechmont launch was marginal with strong wind and Hinchcliffe launch with hardly a breath up the face. They chose Hinchcliffs wisely but it was some time for the cloud to move allowing sun to heat the ground. After talking to John Durand Jnr on Beechmont we realized we made the right choice. I wind teched for the comp but it was overclouded and went straight to bombout. I decided to hike straight up to launch with poles in hands and glider on my back. Allowed 1 hour and accomplished it in 52 minutes. Another hike and fly to register at
